OK, so the whole point of the movie is that they need Will's blood and the last piece of gold in order to break the curse.

Why Will's blood? I didn't understand this. Can anyone explain this? Jely can't and she's seen the movie 3 times.

The major plot point that the entire movie hinges around, and they can't explain it.

Because the entire crew spent the cursed gold and had to repay in blood. Barbossa mentions this in the cave. Bootstrap Bill was tossed overboard before he could repay his blood. He'd also sent one of the coins off to young Will because he didn't trust the rest of the crew after what they did to Jack. Savvy?

As for the plot "hole", well, now I need to see it again because how could any of them have repaid in blood if they were already cursed? They didn't bleed while cursed, right?
